Cara

cara baby 002, originally uploaded by Terry Patricia.

This page is of DD1 when she was a baby. I have used Webster PP, (Lullaby Lane ) I find Websters such a joy to work with. I cut out all the elements from Puppy Dogs & Pig Tails & Out For a Stroll and built then up using mounting tape. Other elements I used are vintage lace, pearls, Prima cloth leaves, lace & handmade flower and kindyglitz.

Sweet Girls

Sweet Girls, originally uploaded by Terry Patricia.

The photo is of my two daughters taken 20 years ago as an old slide which I only discovered I could scan to print thanks to a little slide-scanner I bought recently. This page is done with Webster PP. The Chandelier, clock, butterflies and birdcage were cut out of different papers and added (built up with mounting tape). The cluster of flowers is built up of a silk flower, with paper and lace flowers surounding a gorgeous Prima flower in the middle. An acrylic bird and bling title and flourish finish it off.

Welcome to the World New One

Another built-up layout with some beautiful papers I found at Spotlight. The photo was placed on distressed card stock and I added some vintage lace from an old petticoat under the top right corner which I folded back and fastened with a gold dragonfly charm.
I took this photo when I saw a new born foal frollicking with his mum by the side of a dam near my house. I did this for a challenge where I had to include the words "new one".

The Pantheon

The Pantheon, originally uploaded by Terry Patricia.

I started this by using a heart mask in the middle of the page and stamped travel-themed stamps all around the edge. I then peeled off the heart and used its backing sheet as a sort of stencil to fill in the heart with blue and green to match the colours in the photo. This is outside my normal style (ie. pretty pinks and excessive embellishments) but the simplicity really appealed to me and I loved making this layout.
The photo is of one of my favourite places in the world - The Pantheon in Rome. It is the best preserved ancient building still standing today and it's amazing to witness in real life. Taken from the perspective of one the statues in the fountain in the couryard facing the Pantheon.

Dreaming

Dreaming, originally uploaded by Terry Patricia.

I fell in love with Webster papers the moment I saw this range (Magical Wishes), and as I am the queen of 3D I cut out the flowers (I bought multiple sheets of the same paper to do this) to build them up. I hand sewed the word "dreaming" and the embroidery below the photo to add some extra depth.

The photo is of my daughter Erin and was taken by her sister Cara while shooting a short film for Uni. The photo was fairly low quality so I had to fix it up somehat but I loved how it looks like she is daydreaming (meanwhile in the film she'd just been beaten up by her abusive boyfriend and had bruises all over her face! Very different to how it looks here, right?).

We'll sing in the sunshine... we'll laugh everyday

My two daughters, frolicking in their new dresses on Christmas Day, last year. They started out as white card stock with lots of stamping, and then I added the blue clouds which I stitched around. I then machine-embroidered the greenery and topped it all off with felt flowers. The girls are raised quite hight on foam mounting tape and have shadows in the light! I got the title from an old Dusty Springfield song.

This Girl is Unique

This is a picture of my daughter Cara. Lots of pink and black to match her hair/clothing (her favourite colours, naturally). "Unique" is wriiten with pink jewels. The flowers are a combination of papper, fabric and felt. The black, flower border down the bottom was a lovely black, plastic ribbon (OK it was prettier than I made it sound).

There is always time to DREAM

This is a picture of my daughter Erin. The wings were cut from a hand-made fabric butterfly and a touch of crsytal glitter. It's hard to see in this photo but a lot of the butterflies are 3D (cut from a matching sheet of paper and added to the page to add dimension). Plus lots of ribbon, bling and stitching!
